New Road | Canadian Rockies After 3 years of photographing in the Rockies, I’ve decided focus on trails less traveled. I’m going to renew my spirit by capturing the wild from vantage points that the vast majority of people never get to see. My work in the backcountry will inevitably get more difficult with off-trail hiking so it’s time to get some new safety gear! Here’s another beautiful view of Dragon Peak | Athabasca River Valley Share with friends & family! […]

The peak itself is one of many that make up the Catacomb Mountain range, now with white puffy clouds and blue skies the opportunity to photograph Dragon Peak from different angles throughout the day was wonderful. This photo was one of many that had me thinking I’ll be back next fall. Get Out And Explore! Info:Google […]

Alces alces | Maligne Lake, Jasper National Park Did you know that moose can run up to 35 miles per hour? They can also move quickly in water. Moose are very good swimmers and they can swim about 6 miles per hour. That is quite impressive for a creature with four long, skinny legs. (wildernessclassroom.com) Get Out And Explore! When Étienne Béland is not guiding clients down huge white water, he spends all of his spare time perfecting his craft one waterfall at a time. Photographing Danny and Étienne last weekend dominating 30ft waterfalls was a spectacle in itself. I look forward to the rest of the summer as I photograph white water and […]
After The Falls | Rearguard Falls Provincial Park Back again finishing up the Rearguard Falls project with rafting guide Étienne Béland from Quebec City, Quebec, as my kayaking skills are limited it’s quite impressive to see him do his thing on these class 3+ waves. **With high water levels there can be up to 12 foot waves in some sections as well don’t forget the salmon run in August.
