Snowshoes | Stutfeilds Glacier, Jasper National Park

Snowshoes | Stutfeilds Glacier, Jasper National Park Hands down yesterday was one of the best trips of 2021, a great solo day trip to the Stutfield Glacier, Jasper National Park. The conditions going in were perfect as the ice above the snow was still frozen, although coming back was a little bit trickier as the snow had melted and I was postholing 2 feet deep even with snowshoes on. With beautiful views from start to finish the only off-putting thing […]

Rocky River | Jasper National Park

Rocky River | Jasper National Park Last week I had an opportunity to explore the Rocky River, I took advantage of the dried riverbed to explore a part of the park that rarely gets seen. With water levels so low I had an chance to travel farther than ever before. Share with friends & family! W: rjjphotography.comFB: @rjjohnsonphotographyIG: instagram.com/rjjohnsonphotography

Fiddle River Project | Jasper National Park

Fiddle River Project | Jasper National Park The Fiddle River Project is something I’ve started just recently this winter. I’m hoping to create a small portfolio of some of the best photos of the river and its surrounding landscapes. As the winter rolls on I will continue visiting this River and its surrounding mountains. I believe it should only take about a year-and-a-half to complete this project covering all four seasons. I’m looking forward to what all the river has […]

The Flats | Jasper House, Jasper National Park

The Flats | Jasper House, Jasper National Park The sand flats surrounding the area of Jasper House have a very interesting look to them. They have created these unique structures that adorn the riverbanks, although frozen solid they are still very brittle like ice and in a large part made up of sand and water. They have an amazing way of reflecting the warm morning light. Get Out And Explore! Share with friends & family! W: rjjphotography.comFB: @rjjohnsonphotographyIG: instagram.com/rjjohnsonphotography

Into The Mist | Jasper National Park

Into The Mist | Jasper National Park I have not seen fog this dense in the Athabasca Valley for quite some time, the opportunity to get out and hike along the Athabasca River, as the fog retreats slowly into the forest was absolutely amazing. Gateway | Mt. Geraldine, Jasper National Park

Gateway | Mt. Geraldine, Jasper National Park The greatest thing I’ve learned from working as a landscape photographer is that it’s not the landscape that’s difficult to photograph yet it’s the sky and its ever-changing mood.
